The Casual Slacks formed in 2019 in our first year of high school, quickly bonding over our shared love for alternative rock. Our sound is defined by interlocking guitar parts, driving melodic bass lines, strong unapologetic drums, all underneath soaring and atmospheric vocal harmonies.
Influential to us have been rock legends such as Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, The Strokes and Led Zeppelin, as well as many contemporary artists such as Wunderhorse and Fontaines DC. On top of this, we have taken inspiration from some of Australia’s greatest bands both young and old, such as Powderfinger and Cold Chisel.
We will be releasing our original material later in the year, and we can’t wait to share it with all of you.
